Butler Battlegrounds Welcome the Best Point’s Battle in the Country
CAMARGO, IL (08-21-08 ) by Robert Cortum - O'Reilly All Star Public Relations
Like soldiers marching onto the battlefield, the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions will take to the famous Battlegrounds of Butler, Michigan Saturday, August 23rd. The best point’s battle in the country features two of the most loved drivers in the sport, Dale Blaney and Lance Dewease, Ohio vs. Pennsylvania.
Coming back from a Mid-South swing, Lance Dewease closed in on Dale Blaney making for a tight run down the stretch with the series. Both Dewease and Blaney have had their share of highs and lows during the season, but both show how much consistency will pay off in the long run.
However, lurking in the shadows, Randy Hannagan, Greg Wilson, and Tim Shaffer are out for wins and strong finishes in 2008. The wild cards of Brian Ellenberger, who is coming off his first career All Star win, and Brandon Martin, still searching for his first win, are hungrier than ever for top finishes.
This is the first visit to the Battlegrounds in more than 2 seasons for the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions. Dale Blaney took home top honors the last time “America’s Best” visited the facility. The Butler Battlegrounds weekly arsenal of drivers are expected to be on hand as well to defend their turf and continue their own point’s battle. Current Mark Broughman is in the top spot at the famous facility.
Gates will open at 4:00 with the battle beginning at 7:30. Admission will be $25.00 for adults, kids 6-12 are $10.00, and kids under 6 will be free.
